​Thank you for your interest in Mu Phi Sigma National Percussion Fraternity, Inc. In this section you will find information on how to qualify for membership into our Illustrious Fraternity. After you have reviewed the information, please complete the Mu Phi Sigma contact request form below and a member will contact you with next steps to discuss your interests further. You are welcome to use the Chapter Locator to find out the chapter and region that are located near you.

The Chief Illustrious Founder envisioned our organization to comprise of those percussionists who embody our three principles of Mentorship, Fellowship, and Service. As Mu Phi Sigma continues to grow, we have impacted our local communities in which we live as well as those on a global scale. We therefore, seek percussionist who will promote and extend these principles of Mu Phi Sigma. 

Basic Eligibility Requirements: 
Membership in Mu Phi Sigma National Percussion Fraternity, Inc. is divided into two main categories: Collegiate (members currently attending colleges and universities), and local chapters (members who are not in collegiate universities and are still active in the percussion world). 
  • Candidates must apply to a chapter or region where they reside, based upon the terms and conditions outlined in the Fraternity's membership intake and development process. 
  • Candidates of Mu Phi Sigma must play or have played a percussion instrument including keyboard, glockenspiel and string instruments.
